Mamaison Hotel Andrassy Budapest, which is part of the CPI Hotels, leading Czech hotel group, won the prestigious Hotel of the Year 2014 award in the category of four-star hotels.The competition, organized by the Hotel Association of Hungary, evaluated the applications by a number of indicators including revenue and its comparison with national and regional data, uniqueness and innovation of strategy in sales, marketing, operations, employee incentive programs or involvement in Corporate Social Responsibility projects. The Jury also took into account the online guest’s reviews on the main travel portals like Tripadvisor, or Expedia and the evaluation of the quality of services by mystery shopping tests organized by the Hotel Association.

The general manager of Mamaison Hotel Andrassy, István Nagy-Szász accepted the award during the gala evening held in Budapest.

“Work and humility; is the most important. A pinch of luck too, and then only one secret ingredient left in the recipe is the team,” said István Nagy-Szász the General Manager of the hotel. “One of my favorite sayings from founder Jeff Bezos – ‘If a team couldn’t be fed with two pizzas, it is too big’, he continued. The team at the Hotel Andrássy is perfect not only in terms of size, but also professionally and humanly. I thank them for the results ! ", he added.

On the gala evening there were more than 200 guests from the hospitality industry, the Hungarian government, Hungarian Hotel Association. CPI Hotels ranked included Mamaison Hotels & Residences into its portfolio in July 2014, operating hotels and residences in Prague, Bratislava, Warsaw, Budapest and Moscow.

The four-star Mamaison Andrássy Hotel is located in the neighborhood of the diplomatic quarter, a few steps from the famous Andrassy Avenue. Hotel in a renovated historic building built in 1937 is in the Bauhaus style, offers 61 rooms and 7 suites. It includes an award-winning restaurant Le Perle Noire.
