Ústí nad Labem / June 2, 2014

A second talk show of the cycle "Meeting with..." took place at the Clarion Congress Hotel Ústí nad Labem at the end of May. The invitation to sit on the hot seat of presenter Antonín Moravec was accepted by Monika Absolonová, a famous musical actress and singer. She spoke about her memories of the North Bohemian city which she visited on a concert tour with Karel Gott, or as a performer of the main role of Funny Girl, an adaptation of a well-known American musical, winning her the prestigious Thálie theatre award.

"Monika was really lovely and full of energy. I am glad that she found a space in her busy schedule to visit us; it pleased many of her fans who came over to see her," said David Matušinský, hotel director at the Clarion. The singer admitted her job meant a great deal to her and she divided her time up among theatre performances, concerts and charity events. She is also very busy with her presenter's job; apart from being an annual presenter of the Athlete of the Year poll, together with the first host, Aleš Háma, she presents a talk show in Ústí nad Labem called Taxík. She also told the audience of the congress hall of the Clarion hotel in Ústí nad Labem about her interest in ice hockey. The talk show date went on simultaneously with an ice hockey match of Czech and French teams, and the singer did not hesitate in her support of the Czech team at all. The talk show was ended by the singer's performance where she introduced her biggest musical hits.
