Ústí nad Labem / Czech Republic / December 10, 2014

The prize for the best Clarion in Central Europe was awarded to the Clarion Congress Hotel Ústí nad Labem during the Choice Hotels Franchise Meeting 2014. This time, representatives of the Choice Hotel International, one of the largest international hotel chains with more than 6,300 hotels, met in Friedrichshafen, Germany. The hotel got to the international final round, which will take place next May in Las Vegas.

The contest assesses criteria in the field like quality of services provided, interesting design features and adherence to standards. Guest reviews were also considered in the evaluation. The Czech Clarion won over competitors from Germany, Italy and Switzerland. Mark Pearce, Senior Vice President International Division, Choice Hotels Int., USA, presented a plaque and a diploma to the awarded hotels. "We see the award as praise for our efforts and the superb level of our hotel and gastronomy services," said Vit Kotě, managing director of the Clarion Congress Hotel Ústí nad Labem. "It's a little gift for the third anniversary of the hotel." The CPI hotel group, which is an exclusive representative of Choice Hotels International for Clarion in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, had another stake in the competition as the Clarion Congress Hotel Prague was also a nominee.
As part of a multipurpose centre with shops and administrative facilities, the hotel was opened as the sixth Clarion in May 2011. It provides accommodation in 83 four-star rooms, including three suites which can be combined together. The hotel offers variable conference facilities with capacity for up to 480 people. The hotel includes the Benada Restaurant for 160 guests with outdoor seating. The Clarion Congress Hotel Ústí nad Labem has already been awarded before – during the 5th Stop and Stay Tourism Conference it won the Best Hotel of the Usti Region of 2012 Award.
