Prague / Czech Republic / March 23, 2016

The Clarion Congress Hotel Prague in Vysočany was the venue for the 7th year of the two-day conference Equal Pay – “Ženy sobě” (Women to themselves), which is the largest of Czech events addressing the equality of employment opportunities for women and remuneration, personal development and motivation. The non-profit organization Business & Professional Women organized it under the auspices of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. The general partner of the conference, Clarion Congress Hotel Prague, had a representative on the main board, too. In the discussion “We work together, we cooperate”, Miroslav Bukva, hotel manager of the Clarion Congress Hotel, spoke.

“Partnership and support of the project Equal Pay Day is a natural extension of our activities in the field of socially responsible business. Women hold more than half of the senior positions at our hotel and we are actively trying to find ways to support the balance between their work and family life, so that they are able to fully develop their potential.”, said Miroslav Bukva. In the discussion “We work together, we cooperate”, which was moderated by the Director of the program broadcast on Czech Television, Milan Fridrich, among others, the director of corporate affairs and communications for Plzeňský Prazdroj, Drahomíra Mandíková Chief Financial Officer and member of the Board of Directors of the insurance company UNIQUA, Lucie Urválková, Barbora Chuecos and the CEO of the company Master Card, Miroslav Lukeš, spoke. Friday’s conference, featuring more than two dozen speakers, attracted over 300 participants, and in addition to the 57 mentors, 2027 interested women participated in Saturday’s speed-mentoring. The actress Simona Stašová, a special guest of the conference, stressed the importance of courage, spunk and the appetite to succeed and follow your goal, which was the credo connecting the leitmotif of this year’s Equal Pay Day.
