The Clarion Congress Hotel Prague, which is part of the portfolio of the biggest hotel group in the Czech Republic - CPI Hotels - participated in Hotels Night, a project in support of tourism in the capital city. The event, which the Czech Association of Hotels and Restaurants organised in co-operation with the Prague City Hall, Prague Castle and Prague City Tourism as an expression of thanks to the inhabitants of Prague, took place on Friday, 27 January 2017. The Vysočany Clarion was one of more than 70 hotels in Prague which on this day offered accommodation in a double room with breakfast to the inhabitants of the City of Prague for a symbolic price of CZK 777. 65 rooms were reserved in the hotel in this event.
Dozens of the guests also utilised the accompanying programme. The visitors were welcomed by Hotel Manager Miroslav Bukva, and after a welcome drink the visitors went on a commented tour. Under the guidance of Roland Winkler, Manager on Duty, the guests had the opportunity to see the hotel facilities, including the congress space and executive rooms and suites, in which many famous personalities and guests have stayed since 2008. The programme also included points of interest such as the unique generator, which serves as a backup power supply in case of a power failure, and a visit to the sprinkler room, which is the most important place when tackling any fire.
