An innovative connection of top quality ingredients with tastes and aromas from all around the world will be united in the work of Rougui Dia, a well-known head chef of Le VRAYMONDE restaurant based in the Parisian Buddha-Bar Hotel. Visitors to Siddharta Café in Jakubská street will have a chance to look under the hood of her talent and try special dishes of her gastronomic selection in May, since the head chef, within the cooperation of Parisian and Prague Buddha-Bar Hotel, is about to prepare a special menu – a 5-course degustation dinner menu and a business-lunch menu.
"Rougui Dia is one of the most talented and most creative head chefs we have cooperated with. Since in the past she has led a restaurant awarded the culinary Oscar – the Michelin star, there is no doubt she is the right one to inspire us. We are happy that Rougui's work is influenced by African and Asian cuisines and that she connects their contrasts in such an original way," said Veronika Fajčíková, hotel director at Buddha-Bar Hotel Prague, commenting on the guest appearance of the Parisian head chef.
Rougui Dia has been the head chef of the Parisian restaurant Le VRAYMONDE at Buddha-Bar Hotel Paris since 2013. Refining her culinary style for more than 11 years, she has gained experience at the restaurant Le Petrossian 144, nicknamed by connoisseurs Le 144, particularly famous for its caviar, seafood starters and creative desserts. Under her direction the restaurant was awarded a Michelin star in 2001, an award recognizing businesses of extraordinary quality. Her concept of "haute cuisine" connects the influence of her Senegalese ancestors, French gastronomy and modern international cuisine.
Guests to the Siddharta Café of Buddha-Bar Hotel Prague will have a chance to enjoy a special 5-course menu designed by Rougui Dia, who will participate herself in experiencing her own degustation dinner menu paired with wine drinking on 20 May 2014. The Michelin-starred head chef will also prepare a business-lunch menu that will be on offer at the Siddharta restaurant 21 to 30 May 2014.
