Baking with Children from Children’s Homes Visited Clarion Hotel at Vysočany after a Year

Prague / Czech Republic / June 12, 2015

Clarion Congress Hotel Prague held another event of the series “Baking with Clarion” for parentless children. The purpose of the project, held in cooperation with the Chance 4 Children Foundation, is not only an interesting weekend programme for children attending baking courses, but also a presentation of options for future employment in the hospitality industry. On the first week in June the hotel welcomed children from the Žatec Children’s Home and students of the First Private Czech Apprentice School of Prague – Hostivař.

The children were first shown around the hotel by Roland Winkler, Manager on Duty, who introduced them in an attractive form to the hotel history, showed them the hotel rooms, commercial and technological background, and various professions available in the hotel. After a joint lunch the children began their work, decorating sweet muffins with merry spring motives according to their imagination under the guidance of the chief confectioner of Clarion. “Our cooperation with the Chance 4 Children Foundation has already continued for four years. We are glad that the event has also been held in other regions a couple of times, such as the last baking event held in Olomouc, and at the Clarion České Budějovice in April”, said Patricie Rosenbergová, Director of Marketing and Commerce of CPI Hotels, who in addition to the Clarion Congress Hotel at Vysočany also operate another 26 hotels in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Russia. The non-profit organisation Chance 4 Children has long helped children in institutional care by focusing on their social integration and creating educational programmes.
